This last week our community currency bank made its first interest free loan of 30,000 units. These Equal Dollars will be used to pay 50% of the salary for a new employee of the Philadelphia Share organization. This ground breaking action increases the currency in circulation to over 50,000 units. Bob Fishman, RHD's executive director also announced that "we are in conversation with a local community construction company that is interested in a loan of 10,000 units of the currency".
